We want to help to make
your wedding day EXTRA Special
WE OFFER FIVE WAYS TO SERVE YOU FOR MAKING YOUR WEDDING AS COMPLETE AS YOU BOTH REQUIRE
Our role in being a part of your wedding is to be as much or as little as you personally require of us. Unlike some denominations who insist that you do things their way - we want you to decide. Our services allow for all the necessary features which couples typically ask about when getting married. BUT, it is up to you if certain things are important or even needed.
In summary, a wedding planned may consist of the following five features: 1) Pre-Marital Counseling (in person or by phone), 2) A Rehearsal the evening or day before the wedding, 3) A Blessing of the Bread and Prayer service with the Bride and her family the morning of the wedding, 4) The Wedding Ceremony itself and 5) A Reception.
Although many traditional religious orders mandate that couples attend some form of pre-marital counseling before they will agree to hold a wedding, WE DO NOT. At Caring HARTS, we do have anywhere from a short four session to an all inclusive 16 session format for couples (standard sessions usually last for 8 meetings). These sessions are fun, informative and we guarantee that you will come out of them having learned things about your spouse that you would not have known before. They are typically scheduled in the evening every other week to allow for you to have some time between sessions to think about what was covered during the prior week as well as to work on some fun assignments at home. Realizing that couples are very busy, we offer this either in person at our office or via telephone appointments. Pre-marital counseling can be a great way to build a strong marital foundation and prepare couples for that first year as husband and wife. Sessions are usually just $55 each time.
Some weddings can get complicated due in part to having many people standing up or taking part in the ceremony. In these cases, as well as when a couple wants some extra peace of mind by going over everything, we offer a rehearsal either at the site where the wedding will take place or even somewhere else (like the family home, in a back yard, etc). Rehearsals are a great time to see the ceremony as it will unfold, get answers to last minute questions by all persons involved and making sure "Dad" knows his cue when being asked "Who stands here to give the bride away". A rehearsal is not a necessity but it can help eliminate last minute jitters. The fee for rehearsals averages about $175 - $250.
In some cultures and religious rites, a "Blessing of the Bread" followed by a special prayer for marital bliss and fertility is a welcomed and expected part of the actual wedding day. Here is when the clergy person meets the bride at her home (usually the photographer is there too) and we commence with this ritual. The fee for this service is simply $100.
Now, for the wedding ceremony - right? Absolutely! This is what everyone is waiting for. We offer packages from a quick elopement in our office to spectacular event ceremonies encompassing many features. Another section will outline this more fully so here we will just mention that the most requested service is called our "Lifetime of Memories" package and it ranges from $450 - $500 (typically $475).
If you are having a Reception, you may want to consider our services for this part of your festivities. Often there is no charge for this participation unless the reception is being held hours after the main ceremony. Here, we are typically asked to give a blessing prayer before the meal is served, interact with guests to add a more religious atmosphere to the evening and perform requested functions or tasks.
