The cost of having a minister from Caring HARTS there to perform a service is usually very small compared to certain other expenditures that you may require for the deceased. Elsewhere in this section we have discussed associated fees for different service requests so we ill not repeat that here other than to summarize by saying that an average memorial after your visitation is typically $225 and a full burial service including the memorial the night before is usually $325. Other fees may apply to your particular circumstances and wishes. We never leave you in the dark about the cost of our services.

Once we receive your initial call to our office to discuss what you, your family and the deceased wishes, we can right then and there tell you exactly what to expect for a cost. After this first discussion, we'll usually recommend that we follow it up with a second telephone call to gather information for the memorial or other component parts of the ceremony or make arrangements to have you come and visit with us. All members of your family and others involved in the planning process are welcome to attend. In this fashion, they too get a chance to provide input and get to know us better before we meet for the ceremony.

Handling payment is easy and most survivors choose one of two methods. Either they pay for the service by check or major credit card right at our office once we complete making arrangements or they ask us to instruct the funeral home to have a check disbursed out of a fund account that they set up (the latter is the simplest way as this gives you the ability to just make your payment to one place and they in turn take care of paying us and anyone else you have instructed). When disbursment accounts are used, we simply call the funeral home after our meeting to let them know that a minister from Caring HARTS will be presiding over the service and we can fill them in on any other special details your require.

If you or a family member wishes counseling services before or after the funeral services performed, we simply handle that on a "pay as you go" basis whereby you pay each time there is a visit. Incidently, at Caring HARTS, we do not require anyone to attend grief counseling - it is strictly optional. AND counseling is never intended to cram down your throat some religious belief system. Counseling is designed to help you or other persons to understand what has happened and to help you move forward afterwards.
