"Introducing your child to God, family and the community"
At Caring HARTS, we recognize that everyone is not the same, everyone is unique and special. It is this diversity that we rejoice in and celebrate. Generally, individuals prefer to have some form of a ceremony at the birth of a son or daughter (as well as after an adoption) to formally introduce this innocent new family member to the bigger extended family and network of friends, peers, co-workers, etc. This is a beautiful idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We applaud YOU.
The Christian Baptism
Since the days of John the Baptist, Christians around the world have looked at the Baptism as one of the most important Rites (sacraments) to go through for being introduced to God and The Lord Jesus Christ. Families usually have this service performed shortly after the birth of a son or daughter and yet other older children and adults have come to find this Rite to be an important part in their lives as Christians, too. This sevice is available to persons of all ages and may be done in a home, at our office, outside or other preferred choice. Nothing is left out when we perform this time honored ritual. Your minister lights candles, annoints with chrism and recites the various passages as the God parents are determined. Prayer is used throughout the service for various features including the "protection of baby", prayer of community acceptance" and others. The typical ceremony lasts for about 35-40 minutes and is a joy to take part or witness.
The Naming ceremony
This is an ideal opportunity for persons who have changed their name or will to have a beautiful ceremony to kick off a new life of a new name. It becomes the start of a brand new journey of hope. Included in this service is a testimonial of the person up to this point in time as well as we take some time to ponder the wonders of what lays ahead on the horizon. This ceremony is frequently sought by brides who are changing their last name after marriage as well as others who have a title bestowed upon them or otherwise wish a name change. The typical ceremony lasts for about 30-35 minutes.
The Dedication of Child
For those of you not of Christian leanings, your personal religious or non-religious beliefs come to light in this highly personalized ceremony which may incorporate religious elements of your choice as well as other cultural or community customs as you name your child and present him / her to your fellow peers and loved ones. There are many standard features to make this a truly memorable event in your lives. The typical ceremony lasts for about 30-40 minutes.
