"Introducing your child to God, family and the community"
There are times in life when an individual decides that he / she wishes to consider renewing a Rite. This may be decided or thought upon for any number of reasons. In the Christian religions, there is wide spread disagreement as to whether it should be permissible to be Baptized more than once. Some institutions may reject the thought of a renewal under their policy that once you are baptized, you cannot be re-baptized. Yet, some of you reading this may want to relive these moments as an older child or as an adult - or maybe you are wanting to do this for your child but have a nicer ceremony than a quick 1-2-3 that was done in the past. Others may have converted from one form of Christianity thinking to another or even chosen a non-denominational path and therefore desire a renewal of the Rite. No matter what your reasoning, we honor these requests and look at the Rite as a wonderful experience. Just as one might renew wedding vows because of their love for each other, people embrace God and The Lord Jesus Christ and want to have another ceremony - perhaps if even to take this time to renew or strengthen one's faith. Please call us - we'll be glad to to of service to you.
Similar may be said for those who desire a renewal of a Naming ceremony or Dedication of Child ceremony. If you feel that going through the experience of this later in life or for that child you have in mind, we welcome your inquiries. Sometimes, a person may decide to change name. This may be a person who for whatever reason decides to change a last name or first, etc. We find that periodically, individuals go through life and have a dislike for their name and so decide to change it. Maybe the idea is to shorten it, make it easier to prounounce or other reason. Some women who get married and change their legal last name also look at the need to be baptized or go through a civil or religious naming ceremony afterwards.
The bottom line is simple, you have a good reason for you or your child. We are not here to judge or determine what is in your best interests. Renewing any Rite is a splendid idea that we embrace - so call us and you'll find that we warmly accept your decision and desire for this kind of ceremony. You will be treated with dignity and compassion. The services we perform will not be a choppy cut-rate version but the type of ceremony that matches your life style. This day will be a special and pleasantly memorable one for you, your family and all those in attendance.
