Each Rite of Passage ceremony marks the beginning of a new journey, a turn in the road of life and the start of something unknown and yet beautiful at the same time. You see this. As one chapter in life closes, another one opens and the pages turn by each passing moment. The future may be scary , a bit intimidating or filled with excitement - no one knows for sure until it is lived! By having the Rite performed, we go beyond simply the "party" attitude and include prayer for longevity, continued hope and determination and the support of ones closest to them. The Rite looks at the past as well as the future as a line on a continuum pausing ever so briefly to record the moment and take a glimpse into a future awaiting. Moments pass by quickly and precious ones like these are worth preserving in memory. Preparation for one's future now that an accomplishment has made that preferred future possible is the reward. The Rite of Passage pays tribute to this and what wonders lay ahead.
